October 2016 Newsletter
Updates from the FSCA
The FSCA Board of Directors has passed a couple of new rules for the 2017 year. Starting on January 1, it will be required that the minimum squad size will be 3 shooters. This rule will be in effect for all registered shoots unless the club uses trappers AND a master scoresheet. Shooters will also be asked to sign their own scorecard and have one other person from their squad sign as witness. Quite a few clubs have already started this procedure and it is working out quite well. We hope that the FSCA member clubs will start implementing this minimum 3 person squads now to be ready for January 1.
By the time you receive this newsletter, the FSCA will have sent out a shooters survey through Survey Monkey. Please take the time to fill out the survey as we like to know what the Florida members of the FSCA are thinking. This is one of the best ways to keep the Board of Directors informed!
On a sad note, longtime Sporting Clays and Skeet shooter Denny Densmore, 79 of Cocoa passed away late last month. Denny was an avid Skeet Shooter and Champion in the 1980’s and early 1990’s before he started shooting Sporting Clays in the mid 1990’s. He was a longtime member and Officer / Director of the Spaceport Gun Club. Denny shot all over the state of Florida and attended several NSCA Nationals along with other major NSCA shoots.
